Body responsible until 2000 for representing Britain in international bridge matters including the selection of British teams. Formed by Alfred Manning-Foster in 1931, its constituents were the English Bridge Union, the Scottish Bridge Union, the Welsh Bridge Union and the Northern Ireland Bridge Union.
